For over 20 years, Pantone’s Color of the Year has influenced product development and purchasing decisions in multiple industries, including interior design and therefore becoming relevant to many aspects of our display home design as well as new home design considerations, so we have been waiting on baited breath to see what the 2021 colour would be!
The selection process requires much consideration and trend analysis, and to arrive at the decision each year, Pantone’s colour experts search the globe looking for new colour influences.
This includes various industries such as entertainment industry and films in production, traveling art collections, all areas of design, popular travel destinations, as well as emerging popular lifestyle decisions and new technologies, materials, and textures.
So, what did they decide for 2021?
How fitting to pay respect to both the tough year we all experienced in 2020 while also symbolising hope and positivity for 2021. Our design team have always loved the bright and light ambience that the yellow and grey combination provides in an interior design context, and we incorporated it here in The Haven (the wood working as the yellow tone in this example):
And again here with a gold tone instead of a bright yellow in The Sentosa display master bedroom:
It is so versatile and easy to introduce into almost any interior design style, and the colour yellow is symbolic of confidence, optimism, and humour – so why not grab yourself some yellow cushions and brighten your home quickly and cost-effectively in 2021!
