Spring 2020 Kitchen Trends
This Spring there are plenty of exciting trends in kitchen design, from feature splashbacks right through to the perfect blend of natural materials and modern aesthetic. We have included below a few we are really loving – prepare to be inspired!
The Perfect Island Bench
A must have in Australian kitchens – they provide a functional food preparation space, allow for extra storage and help your kitchen interchange effortlessly from cooking area, to reading the paper spot, to the perfect space to gather and catch up with friends and family. We love the stunning island bench design in our display, The Entertainer in Burns Beach:
If you are searching for a way to bring a little something extra to your kitchen, there are now so many door colours, finishes and textures that you can browse to make a statement with your kitchen cabinets. The colour palette for cabinetry is trending towards darker tones, often combined with open, industrial style shelving, textured benchtops and matte black sink fixtures and fittings. An example of darker cupboards below featured in The Haven, our newest display home in Bushmead:
A scullery is now an exceedingly popular feature in homes of all shapes and sizes. Whether an extension of the pantry, or the space between the shopper’s entry from the garage and the kitchen, you can use this space to hide clunky pots and pans while you aren’t using them, as well as store all the dishes from your dinner party until you have the energy to tackle them! You have to see the huge scullery in our award-winning display home, The Odyssey – it is truly the epitome of modern kitchen design!
