Ross North Homes x Rotary Jacaranda Festival 2025

Celebrating 25 Years of Community, Colour & Connection in Applecross

For us, building homes in Western Australia means building for the people, the places, and the moments that make our neighbourhoods feel like home. That’s why last month, we were honoured to stand as a major sponsor of the 25th anniversary Applecross Rotary Jacaranda Festival,  a landmark celebration of community spirit that continues to inspire how we design and build today.

On Sunday 23rd November 2025, Applecross welcomed its biggest crowd to date, transforming local streets into a vibrant celebration beneath a canopy of purple blooms. We’re endlessly proud to support an event that mirrors the values we build into every Ross North home, connection, comfort, and spaces where memories unfold naturally.

A Record-Breaking Day for WA’s Most Beloved Purple Season

This year’s festival surpassed expectations in every direction. By the end of the day, organisers officially confirmed:

  • More than 15,000 visitors attended
  • It delivered the highest fundraising total in the event’s 25-year history
  • Many stallholders described it as their most successful market experience yet
  • Local performers and young creatives brought a true carnival-style atmosphere to the streets
  • Community groups such as the Waylen Bay Sea Scouts made an extraordinary impact with event preparations guiding families out into their neighbourhood and giving WA makers a stage to shine is something we stand behind wholeheartedly and the feedback speaks for itself.

The Voices of Local Makers – the Heartbeat of the Festival

The words of those who set up their stalls bring the story to life better than any statistic could. Stallholders shared:

What a fantastic event! We absolutely loved being there. The patrons were fun, happy and full of great energy. A big shout-out to the Rotary team and Market Life staff for being so well-organised and professional. We truly enjoyed the experience.

This was a great event this year. It felt more like a carnival than just a market. I was near the buskers, and I loved the energy around the area.

So many visitors, such a great atmosphere. Well done!

We are always pleased with the turnout of the festival. Even the Perth Royal Show did not have the same foot traffic and customers compared to Jacaranda. This is our second year participating and we will definitely save every year to this.

One stallholder encapsulated what makes this festival so unique in WA:

Even the Perth Royal Show didn’t have the same level of foot traffic. This is our second year participating and we’ll definitely save it in the calendar every year.

How Community Moments Influence the Way We Design Today

As WA home builders, events like this reaffirm the principles we embed into our designs:

  • Open-plan living areas that encourage effortless gathering
  • Flowing kitchens and living spaces built for conversations that overlap, like laughter near the buskers
  • Welcoming entries that echo the warmth of a neighbourhood-led celebration
  • Flexible layouts that work beautifully whether it’s market day or an everyday family Sunday. The Jacaranda Festival brings Applecross together for a day and it reminds us that our role is to design homes that bring families together for a lifetime.

Backing the Suburbs We Build In

We were acknowledged alongside longstanding partners such as Lotterywest and The City of Melville for contributions that help bring the festival vision to life. But this year, the organisers’ thanks landed close to home for us, too – directly recognising Ross North Homes for our commitment to the Applecross community.

To every stallholder, volunteer and family who attended, thank you for being part of a day that celebrates everything that makes WA communities special.

Building for WA, Designed for Living

Just like the perfect home, a meaningful community event thrives when it’s well planned, welcoming, and built to last. We bring the same mindset to every project, balancing innovation with timelessness, function with feeling, and design with lifestyle.

If you want to experience what’s possible when award-winning design meets real WA living, our display homes are always open for you to explore. Step inside, take your time, and picture the life your future home can hold.

Here’s to WA communities, neighbourhood celebrations, and the purple season that reminds us why we love building here.

💜 Until next season, Applecross.
